About
My name is Joanne. For three years I was secluded in a cult and experienced what it was like to live under distortion and to mistake control for honoring God. Thankfully, through reading the Scriptures with hunger, the Gospel cut through and pierced me with its simplicity.
This truth has never let me go. It led me into seminary, not so I could stack up knowledge, but so I could unlearn the noise and equip myself to hold fast to what is true. Over the years , I’ve found that theology shouldn't be for the rare few. It should be for all of us.
This blog is where I share from that place. My hope is to equip the everyday Christians to read their Bibles contextually and return to the simplicity of the Gospel Message.
